An exclusive experience for guests of the Lincoln Hotel. Experience throwing on the pottery wheel! This one-hour Spin Session is designed to be fun and accessible for everyone, no experience necessary. Leave your expectations at the door and just enjoy the experience of touching and shaping clay.
One finished piece is included with your experience if you’d like to keep a momento. Shipping is extra and can be purchased following the session. Rate varies on number of pieces to be shipped but starts at $25 for a USPS Priority Mail Medium box.
How it works:
Instructors give a short demo (10 minutes) of throwing on the wheel, then assist participants in making their own pieces.
You may get dirty, so wear something you don't mind getting a bit covered in clay.
We provide everything else and clean up afterwards.
Finishing & Firing for Additional Pieces
$15 per additional piece for finishing & firing of any pieces you want to keep (includes trimming/finishing, bisque firing, glazing, and glaze firing).
Directions from the Lincoln Hotel by foot or car:
Depart the Lincoln Hotel lobby to Lincoln Street.
Turn left toward Main Street and then turn left again.
Follow Main Street to the intersection of Main and Water Street and turn left into the Pepperell Mill. Look for the big brick smokestack next to the Saco River.
Proceed through the parking lot to the Main Entrance. You will be met in the Main Entrance foyer by Mill Pond staff. If driving, park anywhere there is no black RESERVED sign.
