Student Practice Hours
Student Practice Hours are intended for students to work within the technique they are studying (i.e. hand-building students shouldn’t use practice hours to wheel-throw, and vice versa). Members have 24/7 studio access.

Tuesday 1 pm – 9 pm
Wednesday 9 am – 5 pm
Thursday 1 pm – 9 pm
Friday 9 am – 5 pm
Saturday 1 pm – 9 pm
Sunday 9 am – 5 pm
Studio Shop
Students may purchase additional clay, as well as tools, aprons, towels, and other items via Mill Pond’s online shop HERE.
Students may purchase one additional 25 lb. bag of clay during each session.
Students may not use clay brought from outside the studio.
Reclaim clay is only available for purchase by members.
Label Personal Items
Students are encouraged to label all personal items including tools.
Wheels
Students may not reserve wheels during Student Practice Hours. Wheels outside of class time are first-come/first-served. Members may reserve wheels, so students are encouraged to check the Studio Calendar, as a student may be asked to relocate if they are using a reserved wheel.
Guests
Students may not invite guests into the studio to work other than to give a brief tour of the studio. Members may invite guests.
Referrals
Current students who refer a new student may receive a 25 lb. bag of clay. (*When registering, the new student should note the name of the student who referred them.)
End-of-Session Policies
Mill Pond’s end-of-session policies for continuing and non-continuing students can be found HERE.
Helpful Info
We’ve compiled some helpful info on clay, glazing, and other techniques HERE. We also have a YouTube channel where we share helpful videos from other studios and ceramicists.
Studio Handbook
Creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming clay community is our number one priority. Our Studio Handbook provides polices and how-to guidelines for students, members, and studio tenants. Violations of our studio policies or procedures may result in immediate cancelation of class/workshop participation, membership, or studio tenancy, and ban from the premises. Please make time to read the Mill Pond Studio Handbook.
Ages
Mill Pond classes are structured for ages 18+ but we will make exceptions for slightly younger students who are able to participate in a group dynamic responsibly without extra supervision.
